Mr. Lindsay made a cheque presentation to the staff and residents in the new facility on December 20, 2011. For many years, MLA Fred Lindsay has supported The Good Samaritan Society and our care centre in Stony Plain. He has also, for many years, hosted a golf tournament with proceeds dedicated to charities in the local community. Twice, Mr. Lindsay has selected The Good Samaritan Society's Close to Home Campaign as the charity, in support of the new facility in Stony Plain. With the proceeds from the 2 tournaments, Mr. Lindsay has donated $18,500 towards this campaign, money which will be applied towards the costs of this new 156-bed facility.
We would like to thank Mr. Lindsay for his significant hard work on
behalf of the community, as well as for being such an effective
ambassador on behalf of The Good Samaritan Society.
Proceeds from this years Spirit of Caring Golf Tournament will go towards the Close to Home Campaign.
